Scribbles on the margins

  • Kids, eh

Just wondering – when parents only want so little for their kids as for them to grow athletic, academically savvy, happy and healthy well read artistic kids with passion for fine arts, do they realise that’s at least five different people (of which three are neurotic)?

Moreover, do they comprehend that when they dream of a smart inquisitive kid, that it’s towards them that his inquiries, jabs, skepticism and challenges will be directed first, that it’s them who he will doubt and question first, and it’s their mental capacity that has to be appropriate to merely withstand such a person nearby, never mind actually maintaining their development in the same direction?

Have they even considered, how outlandish that will make their child? And if being happy is in one way being understood, should these expectations (god forbid) come to reality, their child is doomed to live in the misery of understanding, but never being understood?

  • What the?

Just an outlet, for me to let me out.

A blackwater aquarium with a single fish too tired to fight.

A perfect ecosystem with oxygen, food and hatred for banality carefully balanced.
