Who can come?
Any adult aged from 18 to 118. 10% discount for every year after 100.
When?
Now taking bookings for January 2026. I’m taking on a limited number of students due to full-time work commitments. Currently accepting applications.
Where?
For now, lessons will be conducted either at my home in Earlestown or the student’s home. Travel to the student’s place is extra due to time restraints and would need to be discussed separately. This might change going forward.
How long?
Lessons are 60 minutes each. I do apologize, but I’ve found that 30 minutes may be enough to unpack, but not enough time to concentrate fully and get serious tasks done.
How many people?
All lessons are individual by default, but if you have something else in mind, drop me a message and we can always discuss.
What happens in the trial lesson?
We’ll have spoken about your goals and wishes already, so in the trial lesson we’ll try to establish a firm foundation by figuring out how we sit (or stand, if you like), and how we position our hands. Playing guitar is quite physical and I don’t want you spraining your back on day one, so we have to get it right.
What if I’ve never played guitar before?
Not a problem! Sometimes beginners have a guitar, sometimes they already know a chord or two, and sometimes all they have is a dream and will to learn – and that’s a great place to start.
Do I need my own guitar?
Yes, you will need your own instrument. If you still don’t have one, I’m happy to help you choose one that fits you best.
What styles do you teach?
My main background is accompanying vocals, which means I don’t really play standalone guitar pieces, but rather focus on chords, rhythm and playing with others. But I can teach you a lot more, for instance – how to play by ear, or some theory and harmony if you’d like.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Absolutely, but please tell me ahead of time so I can book someone else in your place. All the details are in Terms & Conditions.
How can I trust you?
Good question! I’m fully insured, legally compliant with HMRC, and a member of the Musicians’ Union. All my policies are transparent and available on my website, so at the very least you can give me a chance. 🙂
